I have just finished a school year teaching troubled teens at a New York City alternative school. The year was challenging physically and emotionally as the teaching staff, myself included, went though a shake-up, orchestrated by a new principal. He assumed an aloof attitude toward staff, appearing announced in classrooms taking notes and finding faults in almost everything teachers do. I feel that I need to clear my mind.
