Sankofa is a word from Ghana meaning “Go back and get it.” This workshop focuses on discovering specifically what has been left behind that must be reclaimed in order live fully in the present. Personal reflection in group and individual settings using music, poetry, theater and movement encourages courageous and authentic exploration to find what must be recovered.
Mary Oliver asks “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Sankofa in San Miguel will help answer that question.
While the workshop is designed for those who have the longevity to look back on life, it is open to all.
