With Oscar Rojas
Tuesday June 17th, 5-6 PM
The sound of Tibetan Bowls is capable of emptying the mind, leading us to inner peace and silence. For thousands of years, these sonic devices have been used to attain a valuable learning which cannot be transmitted through words or other channels. Instead, the sound becomes the teacher and the silence, the lesson.
The essence of Buddha is silence. There, in the quiet, we are one with all that is. The sounds of the bowls can cooperate to awaken our inner Buddha, helping us bloom thanks to their lessons. The vibrations of the bowls carry the paradox: it is the sounds who lead us to silence.

About the facilitator
Oscar Rojas began his music journey at age 13, studying classic guitar with different teachers. Later, he studied electric guitar, as well as harmony and composition; thus broadening his musical knowledge and taking him to explore the creation of his own pieces, included the ambient music album “La Secuencia de la Mortalidad” (2011). Some pieces included in this album were presented in art exhibits and others were used for different presentations of contemporary dance, both in Mexico City and in Guadalajara.
